On 15th October 2024, the inauguration ceremony of the academic year 2024/25 in the International Environmental Doctoral School associated with the Centre for Polar Studies was held at the Institute of Earth Sciences of the University of Silesia.
The ceremony was honoured with the presence of the Vice-rector, Prof Agnieszka Turska-Kawa, the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Prof Leszek Marynowski, the Dean of the Doctoral School, Prof Alina Świeściak-Fast, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Dr Witold Kurowski, the Deputy Chancellor, Agnieszka Kotulska, and Prof Hans Ola Fredin, who delivered the inaugural lecture.
