On October 18, the ceremony of inauguration of the academic year 2019/2020 took place in the International Environmental Doctoral School.
During the ceremony took place the matriculation of PhD students of IEDS, the signing of a co-operation agreement between the Center for Polar Studies and University Center in Svalbard (UNIS) and the inaugural lecture entitled „Rapid Arctic change challenges our scientific approaches; are we equipped?” by Prof. Dr. Kim Holmén – International Director Norwegian Polar Institute, The Chair of the Svalbard Integrated Earth Observing System (SIOS) Board of Directors.
